Head Coach John
Hickman:
Coach Hickman is a 1981 graduate of Clinton
High School. He has coached baseball for 27 years, including years
at Lincoln College and ISU as an assistant. John has been
Clinton's head coach since 1997, accomplishing several regional
and sectional championships. Coach Hickman teaches biology. He and
his wife Denise (also a Clinton HS teacher) have 3 children,
Morgan, Mally, and Mac. |

Asst. Coach Jim
Rhoades:
Coach Rhoades is serving his third season as
assistant baseball coach at CCHS. A 2003 Clinton graduate, Jim was
a 3 year letter winner while in school. He graduated from SIUE in
2008 in special education. Coach is in his third year as a teacher
at CJHS. Coach Rhodes will be coaching the JV program. He and his
wife Andrea make their home in nearby Atlanta, Illinois. |

Asst. Coach
Marty Cruzan:
Coach Cruzan is in his third year at
Clinton. Marty grew up in the Chicago area, graduating from
Hoffman Estates HS in 1988. He holds a Bachelor's degree from
Lewis University and a Master's degree from NIU. Coach Cruzan
teaches shop class at CJHS and CHS. He will be working alongside
Coach Rhoades at the JV level. He and his wife Dawn have 3
children, Marlee, Daylin, and Evan. |

Asst. Coach Tom
Cerven:
Coach Cerven comes to Clinton via Southern
Illinois University at Carbondale. Tom is a 2011 history graduate,
having also played baseball for the Salukis. Coach Cerven is a
native of Minooka, Illinois where he excelled as a 3 sport athlete
while in high school. He is our newest member to the CCHS social
science department, beginning his first year teaching history.
Coach Cerven will be assisting Coach Hickman at the varsity level.
